Work-placement training is defined and regulated by article 18 of Italian law number 196/97, dated 24th June, 1997, by the regulations of its application established by Ministerial Decree number 142, dated 25th March 1998, and by successive modifications. It is an "on the job" period of training in the company, which is aimed at facilitating the acquisition of direct, concrete knowledge of a working environment. The work-placement trainee is not an employee and, as such, is not entitled to any form of recompense. Bluserena, however, does provide expenses and offers board and lodgings.
